Bought this as an upgrade to another smaller Bluetooth speaker. This speaker is really beachworthy so we don't get drowned out by other radios. Also the fact that it is waterproof was another reason I bought it. The features it has was another reason I bought it. You can charge your phone, have a microphone adapter (although you'll probably never use it) and a memory card slot to scan the drive when you don't want to use your phone/iPod. Not too heavy and very easy to carry. It could use a bit more bass, but other than that we really like it. When it's cranked up, it's LOUD, so yes. If you want it loud then this is a great speaker for its size.
