November 2021 Update: Still working, does exactly what I need, no major issues or issues. Even more annoying that there's no sound to let you know when it's simmering; It doesn't really turn off until it boils for too long (15-30 seconds) so I just take it off when I hear it cooking. I'm taking off a star because it's a bad thing. First review Nov 2019: I love this little kettle! I've been using it daily for miso soup for a couple of weeks and it's amazing how quickly it works. I boil about a cup and a half of water, which isn't much, but it boils before I even take all the ingredients out of the fridge. I love its size and simplicity and hope it lasts for a long, long time. I've had other kettles before, both stovetop and electric, and this is exactly what I was looking for. Completely made of stainless steel on the inside and plastic on the outside, so no hotspots. Just be sure to keep your hands and fingers away from the escaping steam when manually opening the lid. I only had to experience it once; never again! The only thing I want is a buzzer or chime to let me know when it's done. All there is is a click, so you have to be there to hear and see the lights go out. But since boiling water takes so little time, it's not a big problem.
