GARBAGE and I have never referred to anything as garbage in a review.

10 month review: This will be my final addition to this review. Let's start with the shortcomings of this headset, they are so serious! I want to love this headset but I just can't. For the price, this headset is not justified. It might be $50, but nowhere near $200. I bought them hoping they were a small company that could. Many of the reviews you read here are just first reviews and will not be updated like this one in the future. The company has greatly reduced the cost of the quality of the materials, which shows again and again. The stress point straps connecting the metal frame to the metal ear hinges are just awful. I'm on my third or fourth set in less than a year. The current set seems to be holding up but they sent me strips from another headset so the color didn't match and was expected to just paint them. The leather (or whatever) at the bottom of the headband is falling apart. It's tucked between the plastic of the headband to stay in place and won't stay there for more than a day again. The sound quality on this headset is okay but they are sorely lacking in bass and when cranked up loud (and for me the volume isn't that loud for most) there is some distortion which can be very annoying, which again shows that they are have fallen in price. Dynamics. . I wouldn't be surprised to open them up and find that they are paper speakers. I can't help but notice the lack of material quality in this headset. The headset is only momentarily soft and comfortable, and then the foam used absorbs so much heat from your head that your ears get hot. The headband also becomes uncomfortable after a few hours as it contains a very thin piece of foam. Now for the GOOD things about this headset. Believe it or not, there are a few, but that's all. He excels at what he is good at. Their wireless range is excellent unless you have a 5GHz wireless source interfering with it. I can use them around the house as long as they have more than 50% charge (% is an estimate). Battery life is great, lasting as advertised and often longer (I use it ALL DAY for many things). While the mute indicator on the detachable second mic is very bright (very annoying and when rotated you can't see it but forget about the muted audio), the sound quality and lack of background noise is very good. The customer service at this company is actually pretty darn good. I would give them 9 out of 10 (which is why they deserve that 1 star). Customer service is based in California and isn't very big. The people are very personable and very nice. I think the person I shared with EVERY TIME was Mike(?) and he was amazing. BENEFITS: LONG RANGE GREAT BATTERY LIFE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! They updated the headset software which fixed the persistent power cuts so the persistent power cuts are not mentioned in the CONS: MATERIAL QUALITY IS GARBAGE! CONSTRUCTION QUALITY - GARBAGE! SEVERE HOT AROUND THE EARS. I can't stress enough that the material and quality of construction is absolute rubbish! In summary I really wanted to love this head because what it does well is way better than what the manufacturer claims and exceeds my expectations. UNFORTUNATELY, a few good things are not enough to make up for the bad. This headset is way too expensive. If I were to buy them again (which I wouldn't) they wouldn't be a basic headset and I wouldn't pay more than $40-$50 for them. I cannot stress enough how terrible the material and build quality is for this set which is why I would NEVER recommend this headset to anyone. Unfortunately, I feel so ripped off by this headset that I don't even know if I can feel confidence or even justify buying anything from lucid sound again. I have already selected a replacement headset and am just waiting for the Christmas sale to start. Old rating after 2 months. So it could have been an amazing headset, but they've made the materials cheaper where it matters most. Why use plastic straps to hold the metal together at the stress point? I've had them for two (2) months now! I would like to write a positive review but I can't until this is fixed. As much as they are or not, they aren't worth crap if you save on building materials, and they won't last three months. That's too much money for cheap shit. Update: I contacted the manufacturer and at first they wanted me to pay them more money to send it to them and then they sent a new one. After discussing a bit more with a rep, they went ahead and sent a shipping label. After confirming they had been shipped, instead of making me wait, they sent me a new set. The new set is less than a month old and they are already doing the same as the last set. I will contact you this week. I'm not happy that this kit did the same after being told very few people came back for this issue so it must have been one of those rare defects.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Some little things
