I needed a compact unit that could fit in a filing cabinet under my desk and still deliver decent sound. It's just a regular computer speaker, but for its size and price, it does the job. Clarity and sound separation are pretty good, but bass is naturally limited given the device's small size. The device is basically plug and play. And it's convenient, since it doesn't require a separate connection to a desktop or laptop, as well as a separate power adapter, so there's less tangles on a cable. No external controls. The volume is adjusted via the PC to which the device is connected. The non-slip feet appear to be effective in preventing the speaker from moving.
