This is a massive improvement over a no-roll iron like Conair's. Makes hair beautiful and shiny - ideal for straightening hair. This product is suitable for medium to long hair but limited for short hair as you cannot use it on hair close to the back of the head to avoid singeing it. The first time I used it even with medium length hair I burned the back of my neck trying to curl my hair in that area. Level 1 is enough for partially dry hair, otherwise it will get too hot and you will see your hair floating. Overall I love the product, didn't give it 5 stars due to precautions in use.
