Bought for my son's graduation at our house. I tied the two pieces together and then the other three together. I have the feeling that the string is not very strong. If you put them outside, they are likely to break. The points are thick cardboard. The ends are very small. I tied a paper clip to the ends, which I secured to the ceiling of our garage. I attached it to a screw or nail that was already in the ceiling. This worked well for our blue and gold theme. The price was ok. If you want to attach more than 1-2 rows per square, you need to buy more than 1 pack.
