Md in flex fit or easier 21 1/2" is the diameter of my head .I was very hesitant to purchase this hat based on many other reviews stating this hat did not match the product description or was too deep.When I received the hat my heart sank.In the packaging it looked HUGE and i went for an olive color and this hat is not green at all but more of a hazelnut or chocolate brown with a slight green tinge in certain lighting conditions especially when paired with something that is REALLY olive green the color difference is day and night but let's be honest This is perhaps the only negative thing I can say about this hat.I was very surprised at how snug this hat fits my head.In the packaging it looked huge out so it sat unopened for several days while trying to decide whether or not to return it. I finally opened it up and put it on and couldn't believe how tight it was. and yes, the depth is quite deep, but that's not really a problem either because it pulls neatly over the top of the head with minimal backing. so it doesn't look sloppy at all, or you can let the excess loose and have a pseudo-sloppy brimmed hat. oh end. The brim is a whopping 8 inches wide and 2 inches long at its longest point and appears to be made out of some sort of plastic. At first it seemed like cardboard to me, but I stuck it out a little past the seam to see that it was plastic, and with a fairly vigorous flex, the bill actually holds its shape quite well. The couple rolls from corner to corner and that's it. Overall I would say this hat is good for anyone with a small or even large head. fits anyone over 7 3/4 and will be very tight.
