Review on Sena GP10-02 Waterproof Bluetooth Pack for GoPro, Black by Tim Airy

Use with GoPro Hero 4 Black. Works flawlessly with Cycle Gear's own brand helmet with built-in Sena DWO-5 Bluetooth Communicator. Of course, it also works with other Bluetooth communications. Once you've confirmed the firmware is up to date, you should head into the menu via the Sena app and enable HD mode and wind reduction for the best sound quality. GREAT for motorcycle blogging. No wires! You can also use it with non-GoPro cameras if you have a 10-pin mini USB to 3.5mm adapter with a built-in resistor designed for GoPro 3 and 4, e.g. from VidPro. If you try a cable that doesn't have all 10 pins connected or that doesn't have a built in resistor, it will NOT work. The battery life is long enough to use it for multiple videos. The case, extra backplate (so you can access the switches on the AudioPack) and frame mount all fit nicely when the AudioPack is installed. The mini-USB jumper plug can be a bit fiddly to align/insert into the mini-USB ports on the camera and audio pack, but does NOT require any force. Just a little patience until you use it several times. Buy it while you can still get it. For my money, the GoPro Hero 4 Black and this unit is the cleanest, easiest way to get head-mounted connectivity in your videos, and despite the models being around 7 years old, the Hero 4 Black shoots 4K at 30fps . Oh the 2 mics built into the audio pack are actually very good quality so I use it in this mode for studio and tripod work or when not using helmet comms.
