I bought these to replace a factory alternator on a 2000 Chevy S-10 4.3 V6 with over 160,000 miles. Since the prices of exchange parts often correspond to the prices of new parts, I decided to pay a small exchange surcharge for a new part. It fits well but is missing the cast bushing used to partially support the bracket that holds the heater hoses on the Vortec series engines. The bracket also attaches to another part of the engine, so an extra bushing wasn't really needed. The new alternator passed all my load and voltage tests with no problems. I hope it will cover another 160,000 km.
