Love this little deburring tool. I've used this type of instrument for years in my company's engineering lab, so I was happy to finally select one for personal use at home. This type of deburring tool is excellent for deburring holes drilled in sheet metal and the ID of tubing after cutting. It excels at the ability to quickly flip the tool around a few times when used on round holes, but with a little more care it can also be used for deburring straight edges. The key to using this type of deburring tool is the right pressure and speed of movement. The deburring hook is quite sharp, so if you apply too much pressure or move the tool over the edge too slowly, the tool can easily bite and simply dig into the material, creating a nick in the material that is worse than the burr, that you made . tries to remove. This is particularly gentle on soft materials such as plastic. So my best advice for this tool is to move it at a constant speed and slowly increase the tool's pressure on the material by making multiple passes until you get the deburring you want. This is the best way to get a clean deburring without leaving vibration marks on the material. I've tried this tool to deburr the inside edges of ABS, PVC, and copper tubing, steel tubing, and some Unistrut steel tubing that had been cut (large burrs) with a cut-off wheel on an angle grinder. This tool has worked well on all of them, although the harder the material (e.g. steel) or the larger the burrs, the harder it will be to remove. Changing deburring tips is quick and easy thanks to the spring-loaded locking mechanism, and I love that spare tips can be stored in the handle so you don't lose them. The handle has a comfortable grip diameter and 20 spare bits make this tool a steal at $18 over similar options available.
