Review on 🔬 Crystal Growth Experiment 4M 5557 by Derrick Lowell

It was a Christmas present and so far everything has gone well. We just finished 4 small crystals and they all look good, but the color of the "purple" crystal is not very good. We may not have added enough blue to properly balance it. Ours grew within 6 days but we saw results in 24 hours. All had a scaly growth on the outside of the cup that sheds easily as they finish growing. We started seeing this in dark blue around day 3, and by the end of day 6 it was happening to everyone. 2 shades of blue appear more delicate than 2 shades of red. Some people said they followed the T and didn't see any results. One thought - maybe the temperature in the room they were grown in isn't warm enough. I believe the instructions say the room must be over 68 degrees. We grew them in our basement and I made sure to raise the temperature to 70°C while they grew. If you follow the instructions on the temperature I don't see how it can't work. And the last. It definitely requires adult supervision (actually they have to do all the work), I would say at least up to 12 years due to boiling water and chemicals. We will finish them like this but I would buy them again and make 3 large crystals or all medium ones. I would avoid small crystals.
