The shoes themselves were nice and comfortable, soft and had good non-slip soles. I was delighted when I opened the box and asked my daughter to try them on until she walked around for about 10 minutes to see if they were comfortable... and noticed the piece was on the floor! We all know that children can be wild and rough but she was NOT like that, she walked carefully, pretended to be a graceful princess and did nothing that was even remotely designed to cause destruction. Disappointed that I have to send them back. As you can see from the photos it is not very well made, the decoration is only attached with a short flimsy brass clasp.
