I've tried Brita imitations a few times but always run into problems. Around the same time last year I bought three filters from other manufacturers. Each worked fine for a couple of weeks but then took about an hour to refill to filter so I had drinking water. Waiting an hour for Brita instead of two minutes? There is no competition. And Brita water tastes better. I use it for coffee and cooking.
