Buy half a dozen or more

Analog multimeters are becoming harder and harder to find. The resolution of digital counters with lots of digits is fun, but if you're trying to set the circuit to the minimum or maximum value, you need analog ones. Buy a few. They are cheap and may disappear in a few years.
