As others have said, the SoC is a bit underpowered to do anything extraordinary. I've had this router for almost 5 years - my problem was overheating. It can get very hot and even fail outdoors when trying to use it for anything other than the main network (and even then saturated Ethernet + Wi-Fi can break it). Knowing what I did when I bought it, I would definitely look for a router with a more powerful chip to complement the 64MB of internal memory. It was nice to be able to use OpenWRT on this thing and run pretty much any service I wanted as long as I knew it would be slow and likely to overheat, but these days you really have to ask for more from a reasonably expensive little computer. so. Would give it 3 stars but it gets +1 for standard support for free software. Seriously, this requires more routers, and Buffalo deserves credit for making those routers.
