Be sure to measure beforehand! It was my fault but my trailer room was 52 inches and the OAL of the two stabilizer bars was 53.5 inches. I needed height and quality, so I avoided the scissor type. I was able to cut 3/4" off each stabilizer bar, pre-drill two new holes, and use an extra bolt to get a solid fit. The idler wheel touches the bolt heads when fully retracted. So far (oh my god, 24 hours of use ) they work great. My small 14" canned ham is very strong. This suggests the seller sent them in the manufacturer's rather flimsy packaging. When it arrived it looked like it was hit by a cannon been shot through a wall. Although the box looks like it barely survived the war, the components appear to be intact apart from a few minor paint scratches. I can paint over it if the temperature is above zero.
