I wear a heart monitor because I have a congenital heart defect. Not wearing it is not an option, and neither is charging it. If I left it charging on my bedside table while I slept, it would occasionally be knocked over by a cat, making for a very stressful day that followed. When charging it in my jewelry closet, I had to unplug the cord to access my jewelry. I know, first world issues. I didn't want to drill a hole big enough for a USB charger, so I looked for a charging port to unplug the cable from. That was excellent! I didn't focus on something that charges quickly as it has 7-8 hours a day to do its thing. If a detachable cord works for you, a 5/16" drill bit is perfect!
