I'm a general contractor and I usually only use the more expensive tools. If the tool breaks, it could cost me more than I paid for it in just one day. Anyway it's my habit and I don't like sissy instruments but I was pleasantly surprised when I bought them. They're not designed for lifting buildings, but for non-professional mechanics, they're probably a good choice for most people. If you're wondering what you need for an automotive project, just get them. They will save you a lot of frustration when dealing with vehicle panels.
