The chrome plates you buy at auto parts stores don't even compare to this one. The material is genuine and it's really heavy and durable. The chrome looks expensive and actually competes with the chrome trim on the back of my Mercedes. The plastic cap is great too and of course if you have common sense you know how tight you have to screw it on before it breaks. Really great product and definitely recommend it to everyone. The ONLY concern I have is that the screw covers can only be removed from the back. So once you've actually screwed the plate to your machine and fitted the screw covers, there's no way you can loosen the screws or even see them unless you tighten the connectors with something sharp and risk damaging the chromes. Actually, you don't need anti-theft screws. and yes that is a panel for the REAR of your car because you don't want it to be smothered by bugs, rocks etc. will be damaged if you attach it to the front.
