I bought these as stockings for the whole family because we all wear glasses of one kind or another. And I, for example, was tired of scrubbing them with a shirt. Of course I have fashionable towels with me for my glasses, but I don't always have a case with me. I keep one in my car - for sunglasses - and on the coffee table for my regular glasses. They're not as trendy as the ones you see on TV, but then again, they don't cost anywhere near as much. As far as I can tell it's just a microfiber that cleans glass very well. They definitely remove more oil and dirt than my shirt normally does. I don't use them every day so I don't know how long it will be before they get too dirty and need replacing, but about $1 each. it doesn't matter much. Since they're microfiber, you could probably hand wash them a few times and keep using them, so I'll update my review when I do. I think soaking in OxyClean might be a good way to do this. Now I'm just glad that my glasses are finally clean.
