I purchased this dock about a month after receiving my new 2020 Macbook Pro. I had a Macbook hooked up primarily for school work (Internet, Google Docs, etc.). I then kept having problems with the Lention USB C cable not being recognized on the laptop. This caused me to constantly have to reset the computer's SMC. This will fix it temporarily, but eventually it won't be recognized anymore. I've only used it to charge my device when using it in the dock, other than leaving it unplugged or plugged into an original Apple charger. Then, almost two months later, my new Macbook wouldn't turn on. I sent it in for repair and found that the motherboard, fingerprint scanner and screen were replaced. I don't know what could have caused all this to get mixed up on the new Macbook, but I think it could have been that dock. I haven't used this dock since I got it back from repair and haven't encountered a single problem since.
