So I decided to give it a try by comparing it to a chef. I gave him the green light for a number of reasons. 1) You can disassemble it completely to clean it. Nothing complicated2) No spring mechanism to break. The chef is sprung. I'm not saying my spring broke or will break, I'm just looking at it from a design standpoint. 3) It can work like Chef'n if you just click and click on the green tab. how much you want. I prefer to just press the shell and let physics decide how much is removed. Again, Chef'n has a great design. IMO Oxo borrowed a bit from them to create their first. There were just a few design cues I liked more about the Oxo.
