I researched seriously for several months and saw a plethora of dehydrators. My husband had one, but I wanted it to cover my royal icing with custom cookies. I know this isn't typical dehydrator use, but I use mine for this. I chose this product because of the price and the positive reviews. I've had it run non-stop since I took it out of the box. There isn't a day that it doesn't turn on. It runs at 95 degrees all the time, and I use non-stick sheets every time, so it's super easy to clean. The trays are strong, as is the block. The lid is a bit flimsy, but I don't use it even half the time. The device is on the larger side. If it wasn't for that, I would have bought another one. ;) Also, the beep is so loud, so long, and so annoying when you're done. Last but not least, you can't set a timer for less than 30 minutes and I don't like that. I would give this 10 stars if I could!
