I got this for my dog to replace a cheap bed that was at the end of its useful life. I put the bed in the same place as her old one and she went straight to her and lay down. She loves it. My favorite feature is the raised sides. My dog loves to put his head on things so this is perfect for him. It protects against breathing problems so that she can breathe much better during sleep. My other dog sometimes even sneaks into her bed and "hides" toys in the corner. I see some reviews saying the bed is too small. Keep in mind that the side supports take up some space. So if your dog is likely to prefer snuggling next to them rather than on them, you may need a larger size. My dogs are 14-16lb pugs and they fit comfortably on it. If I were to buy another one I would go a size up but this one fits great. There are two zippers on the bed. One access to the pillow in the headrest, the other access to the main pillow. I feel one pad is enough for my dogs but I'm sure if you feel you need more pad it can be added. Washing Instructions: Remove outer cover, machine wash separately, cold water, mild detergent, tumble dry.
