Works with other brands but specifically for BMW has more features

I tested it on my Infiniti G35 and was able to read and clear all my codes. Full system diagnostics are only available via BMW vehicles, however the system starts up quickly (no internal battery as far as I can see) when plugged into the OBD port. The scan is fast and can read things like the VIN. I am wondering if there is any way to purchase other brand software for this device as it is certainly capable of running other brand software as I have tested other devices that are very similar. who simply have more brands available on the brand selection page for advanced diagnostics.
