Advantages:1. This seat is very well made. I have several pedestal seats in my garage and this is by far the best built at half the cost of my HON.2 seat. (Maybe you don't care.) It goes with all my other Dewalt gear. I'm a huge Dewalt fan and 80% of my power tools reflect this. My garage is mostly yellow because of all the Dewalt gear. Cons: 1. If your floor is not pristine and textured, you will have trouble rolling on it when you sit on it. If you have pebbles, dirt, or sawdust, I think that will make the problem worse. Solution? Big wheels.2. The foot test is easily scratched by boots. Not a big minus, but as a precaution would have been some kind of rubber cover, where feet would constantly wear out on the product. At sight? I expect some wear and tear over time.
