It all started with a kitchen renovation. The old sink had an undersink filter attached to a separate faucet. I decided I didn't want 2 faucets on my new sink and started looking for alternatives. Then I thought of built-in filters in refrigerators, showers, etc. A whole house system seemed sensible. I checked and found that our city water is treated with chlorine so I ordered the DGC model. I found it to be beyond my level of craftsmanship and hired a professional to install it. The device is installed in the garage and installed in front of the water softener on the recommendation of an installer. It cost more to install than the device itself, but money well spent as it was a real project. So far, so good: clean, filtered water throughout the house with no loss of pressure or flow. Now all I have to worry about is replacing 2 filters once a year instead of all the old ones.
