The kit works perfectly, it is recommended to have two people to assemble the hinges.
The kit works great, I recommend having a friend help you attach the hinges like I did as you need to press hard on them. The work just got a lot easier. Once the metal was attached the rest of the job was easy. The replacement adhesive is also very easy to install.
