I am very happy to have found this potty for my 3 year old son. We had a potty seat that we had to constantly remove from the toilet - phew! This is more hygienic, convenient and space-saving. I highly recommend it. Very durable and I like that it "closes softly". FYI, you only need to raise and then lower the "child seat" when it is in an upright position. If you don't get up first then I can understand why some people say "it's broken". No, they broke it. They kept pushing him down without lifting him up. This is a security feature. You just have to be patient and smarter than the toilet seat.
