I'll try this again later on a 2014 model and see where it takes me. mbp 2015 has PCIe with Gen 3 with 4 lanes while 2013-2014 has Gen3 with 2 lanes, so 2015 is literally 2x faster in read and write speed than 2013-2014. Just use your own performance gain numbers. To measure performance, I used the Blackmagic Drive Speed Test from the App Store. Don't forget to create your own bootable USB stick when installing your new NVME SSD to speed up the installation process.
