I have two different types/styles - got the first one because my niece had a similar one that she liked. This is the type where there are two holes that you put your feet in and the shiatsu rollers travel over your feet. The problem is that the movement of these rollers pinches my legs so uncomfortably that I literally couldn't use them. Why do I need a foot massager that POUNDS when used? The next one is a bit more useful as I just put my feet on it and it has these rubbery ridges that move away from what's underneath. Something worked, but still not for the better. Well, this one seems to have combined the best elements of my previous two and got it right. I don't have any major issues with my legs other than being in my 60's and want to have good circulation in my legs as I'm not as active as I used to be. The heat from this foot massager takes a minute to really kick in, but it feels good and the shiatsu movement is decent - much better than having my foot painfully wedged between the top and bottom of the other! In fact, this shiatsu made my legs feel good - nice and tingly, which is how it should feel when circulating. So for me this foot massager is exactly what I was looking for!
