I am small, with 38ft hips, 28 inch waist and a small navel, like many women, in my stomach. I love these shorts. I bought the size Small Long (black with blue stripe). I've washed them a few times and so far they're wearing well. A few notes on wearing. When I wear regular panties, I fold the waistband to raise my crotch so I don't feel bare skin on my thighs. As you can imagine, the crotch area is spacious - this is useful for men. But I also have boxer shorts that I like to wear when running (they don't stand up or bunch up or wedge - but that's another review). When I wear boxer shorts, I don't have to fold the waistband. The waistband is wide and comfortable to wear. Drawstring that can be tightened if necessary. Ice, loose and long enough that you never have to worry about getting into your shorts. The black color doesn't seem oddly transparent or anything when they're on. I personally like them.
