I had a very very bad experience with the Iams Senior formula. I bought this for my 14 year old cat and made the transition from the original Iams. This food has caused severe constipation in my cat. She tried unsuccessfully to pass #2, and when she could pass very little, she was black, hard, and dry. As a result of this severe constipation, she began to urinate everywhere except in her litter box. I didn't know prior to this experience, but I learned from my vet, supported by other online resources, that constipation causes cats to urinate in unusual ways. I would be very careful when reviewing or running this particular formula and watch for any junk. The habit of the box is changing. A lot of older cats have accidents and at first I thought it was because of their age. I'm grateful that I realized the reason is the food. I definitely do not recommend this formula.
