You get what you pay for. I didn't want to spend $5 on a shirt for my little 21 month old girl. On the farm, she constantly soils and ruins clothes. These shirts are made of thin material, not see-through, but very light. They are also designed for a loose fit. The floor is as wide as a shoulder, so keep your head up. They work well though and I only washed them the first time to see if they would shrink. If you want a more fitted style go down the size IMO.
