I've been an audiophile for 40 years. I bought these Fluance SX6-Bk speakers to replace my Pioneer Andrew Jones center channel speaker. I've never heard a "center" speaker that's worth buying. The center channel speaker needs to have the same tone and sound quality as the other speakers in the system and I've never heard one that meets these requirements. When I heard the Fluances at home and hooked them up to the front left and right channels, I immediately made them my front left and right speakers. I used a pair of heavily modified Polk Tower speakers for the front. I modified my Polks with high end ribbon tweeters and a new matching crossover and they sounded really good. That's why I made the change.1. The soundstage of the Fluance speakers is one of the best I've heard from a speaker at any price point. The soundstage is impeccable across the entire frequency spectrum.2. After a 2 day break, the highs were breathable yet smooth, in other words the speakers sounded open and the highs were precise with no harshness3. I had to double check that my Velodyne subwoofer was turned off because I was actually feeling and hearing the pedal notes of the classical organ music in my library. In fact, I had to turn the volume down significantly and retune the subwoofer to get the sound balanced.4. Mid-range vocals ring right through the room, but remain balanced with the rest of the music. I was so impressed with the first pair of Fluances I bought that I immediately bought a second pair and now have two pairs installed on the front right and left channels. My Yamaha receiver can handle a 4 ohm speaker load. There was no loss in bass density, midrange and treble clarity, but there was a huge improvement in loudness. The speakers play no bass at all. I connected each pair of stacked speakers in parallel to each channel. The Y adapters I used to split each cable were purchased from a Revain CESS-58x2 Banana Jack using asin b08159cx13 in the search box. They turned out to be very good wires and banana plugs. To secure the speakers to the stands and to each other I used several pre-cut Hullless super glue mats, Revain part number b0827xql9c.6. I've thought about buying these Fluance speakers for years and now I realize how much I've missed them. I paid $300 at Revain for these four speakers, and to get better speakers than Fluance I'd have to spend about $1000 for a pair. As far as I know Fluance only sells their speakers online, on their store's website or on Revain etc. You cannot listen to these speakers in an audio store. In summary, I am blown away by the exceptional sound of these speakers, especially at this price point. I need to get this on to Canada where the Fluance speakers are made. I'm very glad I took the risk of buying them.
