Great template! For the complexity of the design, it's also pretty strong. I painted the walls of our tiny gothic victorian cottage on top of the painted hulls and it turned out great. TIP: If you have plenty of room for a stencil, buy 3 (they're cheap!). Then you can use one, immediately dip it in a cheap bowl of water and grab the next one. By the time you're done with the second, you can shake the first one in the pan a little and all the diluted paint will slide right into the water. Pull it out to dry and put the second one in to soak. Repeat this process with the third. When you're ready for the first one, it will be dry or almost dry. This way you don't have to spend a lot of time cleaning and waiting for drying, and you completely avoid ink build-up that spoils the sharpness of the drawing. And it will drive you crazy when you have to take it off the stencil! Another tip that helped is to use a 4 inch flocked roller and roll it over the paper towel roll after applying the paint. to wash off most of the paint. Yes, it wastes some paint, but it saves you a lot of frustration, and rollers work a lot faster than stencil brushes. You can simply remove and throw away the stained paper towel, then repeat. The roller absorbs paint and you won't get your hands dirty trying to get the roller wet. It also helped if I just rolled it over a certain area until it was covered. Repeating the stencil with paint too many times usually allows the paint to seep under the edges more easily. All in all this is a great product. Happy template!
