Excellent well made ceiling fan

I have installed quite a few ceiling fans in my time. This also includes undressing and dressing when the family has moved. Understandably, this only makes sense for fans of decent quality, especially if you like a specific style that's hard to come by. Where I live now, one of the first things I did when I moved was to remove the cheap ceiling fans and put in two old ones. But over time, the fans wear out. One I recently replaced broke due to poor wiring inside. One thing I'm looking into even more at the moment is quality. This fan meets all requirements. I didn't see any signs of cut edges. In fact, there were subtleties that were no longer commonplace. Thick bottom bars, one inch in diameter for one. This fan comes with two. One is short, the other long. Nothing about this fan seemed cheap to me. No scrap metal or other rubbish. I was very pleased. I like old fashioned styles but they are not popular now. This one is quite ornate, although not overly so. The only real complaint I have is the globes. Sorry to say that, but in my opinion they are ugly! I was able to cheaply replace the globes with some from Lowes, from all places. (I don't like any of the big hardware stores. I grew up around *real* hardware stores. There are still a few, but not many. But I digress. A major problem with substituting globes for this fanboy is that they Five globes usually come in groups of four or three Luckily I've found some globes I like that are sold by the piece About $8 each - hooray Not the highest quality but I think they look nice ( much better than the original ugly bugs that's for sure!) One of the best features of this fan is the remote control. It's not fancy but it gets the job done. It's a regular model so replacement controls can be found pretty easily. What i guess is that the circuitry on them turns off the fan for a moment when you change the speed, you can hear two little clicks, one turns it off and the other turns on him again. The importance of this design is that it should come with making the fan last much longer Cheap chain mechanisms are the bane of ceiling fans. interruption. confiscate mechanisms. Etc. Another problem is capacitor wear. It used to not be a big problem, but now it is. Replacement capacitors from China are currently a total sham. There are literally hundreds of them and you need to buy exact replacements. But even after you receive it, you may not buy what you thought you were buying. Currently you can kick out your fan if the capacitor fails. It's just not worth all the hassle. POOH! Here the fan switches off when switching the speed. Regular switching of speeds wears out capacitors. For a typical ceiling fan, turning off is a change from high speed to low speed. This is how most mistakes happen. If you want to keep your fan running for many, many years, try not to tug on the speed chain. This fan model doesn't have such a problem because it doesn't work that way. No traction chains. Hooray! All in all, I'm very happy with this fan. My only other complaint is the lack of brightness control. I managed to create a wifi workaround for a smartphone, but I wouldn't recommend anyone try it. I was willing to take the risk of making extreme modifications to a standard Wi-Fi dimmer and putting it in a fan. It works, but it's not for the faint of heart! What really proves it is that manufacturers can build Wi-Fi controls into their ceiling fans if they want to. Some do now, but not many. And I'm not willing to shell out hundreds of extra dollars for convenience. Buy this fan, you will not regret it.
