I bought this popper to replace an old aluminum popper I bought years ago that eventually broke (I really liked that popper btw). I was very excited to get this new one especially with all the great reviews I read. However, I am very disappointed. The agitator doesn't look anything like the one the company shows on their website (curiously, there's no picture of the inside on the Revain site). I am attaching photos for comparison. As you can see the popper I received has a thin wire instead of a thick spatula. Also, the wire is about 1/2 inch from the sides of the pot. This prevents the grains from mixing properly during cooking. Instead of being stirred, they just sit on the outside of the pan until they start to pop. Since they don't stir (that's the whole point of buying a popper!), they heat up unevenly, causing the popcorn to not turn out as tender and fluffy as it should be. Too bad because the construction and quality of this popper is excellent, except for the most important part of this assembly - the agitators. In view of this, I cannot recommend this popper. I emailed the company to see if they can fix this issue. If not, I will return this item.
