Not best suited for automotive and automotive electronics

Ordered this because it was advertised on a 1999 Yamaha Royal Star Venture. Presumably all you have to do is unscrew the factory antenna and screw this in place. The Royal Venture Ground plane is a plug in connection to the factory plug in antenna This antenna has a clevis base so you have a clevis base on this antenna and a connection to the Venture base plate I emailed the antenna manufacturer and explained the problem and asked for help.Never from them heard!
