I did my research before choosing this brand and am very satisfied. I am an adult woman with anxiety and insomnia. I only slept under it one night and never had another brand to compare it to, but here's my two cents. The weight has been evenly distributed and will never shift due to the small size of the weight pockets. The cotton fabric was breathable so I wasn't hot at all. I used it without a duvet cover between my light quilt and top sheet. I noticed that the glass felt a little sandy on one side and not on the other, so I slept under it with the softer side down. The seams between the diamonds and the piping are of high quality and do not tear or wear out for a very long time. I don't mind washing at all. The weight takes a little getting used to when I lie down at night, but I was pregnant once. I slept 7 1/2 hours and didn't seem to move all night. I woke up feeling so comfortable and rested. The only reason I woke up was because I had a dream where I went to the bathroom and almost wet the bed! This can be compared to waking up every 30 minutes or an hour, tossing and turning throughout the night, and sometimes not being able to fall asleep at all. I can't believe what a difference!
