bought these by mistake and missed to enter "cotton placemats" when the options list was changed from cotton to the same fabric used the tents are made. washed in the hope that they will become softer. no difficult to fold, too slippery. There is no way to do anything other than add the squares, nothing special is possible if I wanted to. I doubt they will get dirty, the fabric needs to be soaked to get dirty. wet, walked on the tabletop of the class, the water flowed from the napkin onto the glass. then remained on the glass surface, there was no resorption as with cotton fabric. I knew we had to send them back before washing. I have no idea where all the good reviews come from. maybe young people who have never used real cloths. it was some time. more disappointed in them than when they arrived first. mine is stained. not even good enough to use as a cleaning rag. will not be absorbed. it will do the trick and I am ordering real cotton today.
