Dude, I thought this clamp wraps around and allows you to tighten and compress it, but damn it only tightens at the tip, which means it can only be 4 inches, I thought so. I'll have you thread through the gap and then tighten it. Very disappointed that you cannot do this. i have to return it Even the pictures they show allow you to thread through a small gap but it was so tight. i can't. I even try to press with a small screwdriver to create a gap but it was too tight. I kind of forgot. It should not be.
