UPDATE January 24, 2017 After reviewing other reviews as well as your replies, I have come to the conclusion that your device and your company lack genuine customer service . I did not find any response to any of the negative reviews. You answer the same every time. I will be in touch with Revain to see if there is anything that can be done to resolve the issue. FIRST REVIEW JANUARY 23, 2017 I blindly gave this recorder so many chances that in the end I am 100% satisfied. I bought a Dictopro on September 13, 2016 as an emergency replacement for my missing SONY recorder. I'm in nursing school and I have to record every lecture or I'll fail. I have used this device countless times since September. At first I thought I was going through a period of trial and error as a beginner. The lectures would not have been recorded. The battery has mysteriously died. Everything seemed fine until, at the end of a long day of lectures, I came home to find that NOTHING had been written down. I patiently adapted while learning how to use this extremely complex device. Also, this Dictopro is SLOOOOOW. On the contrary, my SONY was GREAT user friendly: SONY ICD PX333 digital voice recorder set up, data, start, stop, all army tested. It has never let me down. Never surprised me. Has never let me down. dictopro? Not as much. I haven't had hiccups in the past few months. That's how it was until today. Today was my first day at my new job, first orientation day, and around the afternoon my dictopro died. I distinctly remember checking the battery twice to make sure it was fully charged before starting the work day. FYI, when I get home, I ALWAYS plug it into my computer to transfer files and charge. I did indeed find my SONY shortly after my Dictopro arrived, but preferred my shiny new toy to the boring (BUT RELIABLE) SONY. Unfortunately I have already given my SONY to my niece who went to college with me a few weeks ago. Luckily I have this backup: Denov VR-BK6 8GB Digital Voice Recorder & MP3 Music Player 560 Hours Portable Design Not Opened Yet. I ordered it together with my Dictopro as a backup in case I lose my Dictopro too >_< Perhaps I have a defective device? I do not know. I hope that the seller takes this rating into account. I hope I have the best experience with Denov. If not, I will return to SONY.
