I've been looking for a long time for a phone mount for my car that connects to the Lightning cable with one hand. After looking through 20-30 I only found two that I could get in the car with and just pop my phone in. I chose this one because it had a clip and the phone looked more secure. With all the other options, I had to find my cable if I wanted to connect and get Apple CarPlay working. Well I received it today and I am happy to say that it is exactly as advertised. It was a warning about applying glue to leather or faux leather, so I had to look for a plastic area to apply it. But everything shows that I'm happy with what I have. I wish it looked a little better, I'm not a big fan of the plastic look. But it looks like it's advertised so I knew what I was getting before I got it. It was the best option available to me. Edit: This is still the only mount that allows for one-handed operation, but it seems to increase the likelihood that you'll damage a non-production cable. Other cables will not fit, affect functionality, and do not sell their cables separately. -_-My cable lasted 5 months with normal use. There may not be a perfect one-handed solution. Likewise. The adhesive was excruciatingly difficult to remove from my Toyota center assembly.
