As to be expected from a cheaper lamp, not bad but definitely not outstanding.

So far, so good. This is one of the cheapest lamps I have ever seen. I'm not expecting much from it, but it's easy to install and looks decent. Firstly, I'm disappointed that it doesn't have holes for a standard light box or ceiling box. You could easily drill holes for a standard mounting screw, there were even slots for "tightening". However, 3 screws are required on the entire outer edge of the light frame. This means that if you get less than 8 inches in the future, you'll need to fill the holes. Second, they cut about 1/8 inch of the wire insulation and tinned it. It's completely pointless and difficult to handle if you don't know what's going on. Cut the ends about 1/4 deep into the insulation and start over. Tinning at 120V is not required. Third, and the reason why my rating is high. Brightness! I don't know if those are the advertised lumens, but I have two of these lights at each end of a 20-foot corridor, and there's plenty of light. I have 2 cabinets 6x12 and one in the middle will do. I still don't like the fact that the cover is rotated onto the frame. It's a bit strange. I think it's better than pinching or using friction, still weird. There are instructions so you can fully understand what you are getting into. 3 screws and 3 drywall inserts are included with each light. Easy.

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • Disappear
