So we had to take this cat on a trip - he didn't like it, but he had freedom of movement and space for a crate in this van. Even at home, when it's on display and accessible, he hangs it up and seems to enjoy the little privacy it gives him. It's not that strong and light (both positive and negative). Are you NOT carrying an animal in this thing but for hanging out with some sort of space? The best I've seen so far. And the instructions for use and the placement in the back seat of the car are good - straps to attach to the seat are provided. BIG purchase for our cat but if you carry the animal I think it might fall apart. .
