If you're working with panes of glass, thin metal plates or anything that could cut you, these gloves are perfect. Without them I wouldn't even touch raw glass or metal. The extra grip is also very useful as glass and most smooth surfaces are difficult to handle without gloves, without the extra grip it will just slip away.
