Good and some bad. . . .

YES, with an old piece of furniture, follow the instructions, let the product sit for a few hours and wipe dry WELL rejuvenates aging wood! YES, you can smell a faint orange oil odor, which is pleasant, but this odor can be masked by another odor (see below) NO, the noticeable petroleum distillate odor did NOT quickly disappear even after product residue was wiped away. NO, the surface obtained was not smooth and glassy even after two days of wiping, but it was still a bit sticky/tacky. This could be the result of a chemical interaction between this furniture sealant and this product. I can not say. Your experience can be very different. I only report ours. NO, I would NOT leave this product unattended with small children or pets who can climb on it and choke on leftovers within hours of soaking. Our little kitty managed to get to the surface and there were oily smudges on his fingertips, smudges he wanted to lick off before we caught him. There wasn't much product, but it definitely wasn't an edible or safe chemical for pets or humans. YES, I will use the product again, but with the following steps: • Apply, let absorb and pat dry. in the garage. • Leave the furniture in the garage for a few days after cleaning to remove any residual odour. • Note that as with many petroleum and petrochemical products, some stickiness may remain. • Remember that on our refurbished test furniture, we reapplied a carnauba wax product to the surface to restore a smooth, glassy shine that doesn't hold dust or feel sticky. AGAIN, this was our experience, yours may vary depending on the type of wood and original wood finish used. Final Thought: This is not a Pledge grocery store and is restoring old wood because it is a more durable product with a special formulation. But like I said, there are limitations.
