I am a commercial embroiderer. I usually use pre-wound bobbins for regular work, but for lace work I need the bobbins made of the same thread as the embroidery thread. Storing wound spools has always been a problem as embroidery thread is very slippery and tends to detach from the spool. I used small clamps before I found these towers. I like you very much! No more unwinding bobbins and wasting thread! Each layer of the tower detaches so you can rearrange them. You can easily see all colors. I bought 2 but I will buy more. It's an ingenious solution to an annoying problem. Easy to store and transport. Each tower holds 30 reels and takes up much less space than traditional cases. I would highly recommend them to all embroiderers and seamstresses, whether commercial or home.
