I have a 10" ASUS Eee PC 1000 netbook (1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 1 GB RAM, 40 GB SSD, 20 GB Eee memory, Linux, 6-cell battery) Pearl white About half an hour ago this memory card for a Crucial 2GB 667Mhz CT25664AC667 DDR2 200-pin SODIMM laptop arrived in the mail.I opened the small plastic cover on the bottom of my computer and removed, released the latches that held the original 1GB memory card in place (when you release the latches the card pops out for easy removal), replaced the original card with this, put the cover back on, put the Plug in the battery and turn on the computer. This new memory card was recognized immediately. I did NOT have to press the F2 or F10 key. I don't know why some others had to do this (and I don't doubt their experience warning), but right after I installed the card and turned on the computer in normal mode, I checked the available memory - and there was my 2GB. RAM shows. The whole process of mechanical installation is quite simple and straightforward. The only tool needed is a small Phillips screwdriver (I had it in my Dollar Tree screwdriver set!) to loosen the screws. Please note that there are several YouTube videos for the Asus Eee PC 1000 series that show the whole process in detail and last no longer than two to three minutes. The hardest part? Carefully remove the plastic cover on the back of the computer. The screws come off easily, but there are a couple of internal plastic clips on the sides of the lid (not visible) that need to be carefully released to avoid breaking them (they appear solid though). Memory swapping is easy. I've used Crucial memory cards in other laptops over the years and have always found them completely reliable. So I strongly recommend this memory card, especially for Asus Eee PC 1000 owners.
